XX International Festival “ADRIATIC RHYTMS – BAR”

INVITATION
With pleasure we INVITE Folk Groups, Choral Groups, Orchestras, Majorette Teams, and Modern Dance Groups (children, youth, and adult ensembles) to participate in the XX International Festival “ADRIATIC RHYTHMS – BAR,” taking place from 22 to 26 August in Bar, Sutomore, and Canj, Montenegro.
Participants are ensembles from Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Russia, Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Germany, Ukraine, Turkey, Serbia, Bosnia, Romania, Slovenia, Italy, Sweden, Moldavia, Armenia, Croatia, Bulgaria, Hungary, and other countries.
GENERAL RULES
This is a non-competitive festival presenting traditional and modern dances, choral groups, and majorette teams.
Every folklore ensemble, choral group, orchestra, and majorette team has the right to participate. Children’s ensembles, youth ensembles, and adult ensembles are welcome.
Eligible participants include folklore dance groups, modern dance groups, vocal groups, instrumental groups, soloists, and performers from other artistic styles.
Participation is limited to three groups per country.
Each group should consist of a maximum of 50 members, including dancers, managers, and musicians.
Ensembles should prepare at least two dances, with a total program of 15 minutes, accompanied by orchestra or USB.
Performances will be in the evening, leaving the daytime free for excursions and sightseeing.
Groups must provide a short CV and 2–3 photos, bring their national flag, and arrange their own transport for arrival and departure.
ACCOMMODATION INFORMATION
Participation fee:
135 Euro per person for 3 nights with half board (open buffet, 2 meals per day).
165 Euro per person for 4 nights with half board (open buffet, 2 meals per day).
199 Euro per person for 5 nights with half board (open buffet, 2 meals per day).
Accommodation provided in hotels such as Hotel Lovcen in Suto More, Costelo, Hotel Adria in Bar, and Hotel Montenegro in Canj.
Drivers and leaders will be accommodated in double rooms. Additional double rooms: €10 per person per day.
Additional single room supplement: €20 per person per day.
Additional lunch: €16 per person per day.
Tourist tax and insurance: €1.50 per person per day (paid additionally at the hotel).
Festival organizers provide:
One free place for every 25 dancers, souvenirs and gifts for each group, welcome cocktail with leaders, certificate of attendance, drinks during performances, and advertising of the festival (press releases, social media promotion, posters, flyers).
Insurance: Personal responsibility and health insurance are obligations of the groups. First Aid and hospital services are available, but medical expenses must be covered by the groups.
Extended stay: On request, participants may extend their stay in Bar or Sutomore at €34 per person per day (HB special festival price).
PROGRAM INFORMATION
Day 1 – Arrival
13:00 Arrival in Bar, hotel accommodation (swimming and sunbathing).
Meeting with the festival director.
19:00–20:00 Dinner in the hotel.
20:00 Free time.
Day 2 – Parade and Performance
09:00–10:00 Breakfast.
10:00–14:00 Budva sightseeing and boat trip to St. Stefan (€10 per person).
18:00 Dinner in the hotel.
20:00–23:00 Parade of ensembles, gift exchange, and stage performances.
Day 3 – Performances in Sutomore
09:00–10:00 Breakfast.
10:00–18:00 Beach time, optional visits to Dubrovnik or Kotor, or visit to Old Bar.
18:00–20:00 Dinner in the hotel.
20:30–23:00 Festival presentation in Suto More.
Day 4 – Free Time
09:00–10:00 Breakfast.
10:00–18:00 Beach time and free activities.
18:00–20:00 Dinner in the hotel.
21:00–00:00 Free evening in Bar.
Day 5 – Departure
08:00–09:00 Breakfast.
11:00 Departure of participants.
Optional Stay
Day 5: Breakfast, free activities, dinner, free time in the evening.
Day 6: Breakfast, departure of participants.
COMMUNICATION STEPS
Step 1 — Apply
Fill out the online application form with your group details.
Step 2 — Confirmation
You’ll instantly receive an email confirming we got your application.
Step 3 — Application Number
Within 2 days you’ll receive your Application Number and required materials list.
Step 4 — Review
WOFA reviews your application and checks availability.
Step 5 — Acceptance
If accepted, you’ll receive an Invitation Letter and deposit instructions.
Deposit must be paid within 10 days.
Step 6 — Secure Your Spot
Send us your deposit confirmation. Your participation is officially confirmed.
Step 7 — Finalization
A WOFA coordinator will guide you through the final steps: participant list, travel details, and performance info.
EXCURSION INFORMATION
Excursions will be arranged upon arrival and may include sightseeing tours, boat trips, and cultural visits in Montenegro and nearby destinations.
