INVITATION

With pleasure we INVITE Folk Ensembles, Choral Groups, Brass Bands, Orchestras, Modern Dance Groups, and Majorette Teams (children, youth, and adult groups) participate in XX International Festival “ADRIATIC RHYTMS – BAR”, in Bar, Montenegro.

The intention of our invitation and the Festival light motive is to present the cultural tradition of different countries and to provide an opportunity for the members of groups to get together, to establish friendships and culture presentation through dance and music.The idea of the Festival is to bring the music closer to the people and to present the music on the streets and the squares.The festival is open for folk and choir ensembles, as well as orchestras and majorettes regardless of the members gender and age.

Bar, a charming coastal city in southern Montenegro, is a unique blend of history, nature, and Mediterranean charm. Known as the country’s main seaport, Bar offers both the turquoise beauty of the Adriatic and the green serenity of Mount Rumija. Its Old Town (Stari Bar), set on a hill beneath the mountain, showcases centuries of history with ancient stone walls, Roman ruins, and Ottoman influences. Nearby, the 2,000-year-old olive tree in Mirovica stands as one of the oldest in Europe. Modern Bar combines a relaxed seaside promenade, vibrant cafés, and crystal-clear beaches—perfect for travelers seeking both culture and tranquility.


 General Rules:

Non-competitive sample of traditional and modern dances, choral groups and majorette teams

Every Folklore ensembles, Choral group and majorette Teams has the right to participate.

Adult ensembles

On the festival may participate folklore dance groups, modern dance groups, vocal groups, instrumental groups and soloists, as well as groups and performers from other art styles

The number of participants are limited (only 3 groups from each country)

Each group should consist of most 50 members including dancers, managers and musicians

Ensemble should have prepared at least 2 dances, total program of 15 minutes each with orchestra or USB

The performances will be in the evening hours so you can plan the day ahead and use it for visiting the historical part of the city

To take a flag of the country

Folklore groups should have there own transport for arrival and departure


 Accommodation Cost:

135 Euro for 3 HB per person (3 nights with 2 meals per day - open buffet)

165 Euro for 4 HB per person (4 nights with 2 meals per day (Half Board)

199 Euro for 5 HB per person (5 nights with 2 meals per day (Half Board)

Double room is 10 Euro per person per night

Single room is 20 Euro per person per night

It covers hotel accommodation in hotels like Hotel Lovcen in Suto More, Costelo, hotel Adria in Bar, Hotel Montenegro in Canj.

For drivers and leaders will be accommodated in double rooms and other double rooms are additional 10 euro per day per person.

Additional lunch is 16 euro per person per day.

Tourist tax and insurance is 1.5 euro per day per person and it is additional payment.

On your request, You can continue your stay in Bar or Suto More

Price will be 34 Euro per day per person HB – price is special for the participants in festivals that we can provide.

Certificate for attendance

Drinks during the performance

Advertising of the festival (press release, social media promotion, posters and flayers)

Free parking

Insurance: Personal responsibility and health insurance are within the other obligations of the groups. First Aid and Medical Hospital will be available, medical services must be covered by the group

Transportation: for groups who are coming by plane, we can arrange transport from (Tivat or Podgorica airport) to Budva. (Paid additionally).

10.00 – 18.00 Beach time Visiting Dubrovnik (optional) or visiting Kotor (optional) or visiting old Bar

Step 2 — Confirmation

You’ll instantly receive an email confirming we got your application.

Step 3 — Application Number

Within 2 days you’ll receive your Application Number and required materials list.

Step 4 — Review

WOFA reviews your application and checks availability.

Step 5 — Acceptance

If accepted, you’ll receive an Invitation Letter and deposit instructions.

Deposit must be paid within 10 days.

Step 6 — Secure Your Spot

Send us your deposit confirmation. Your participation is officially confirmed.

Step 7 — Finalization

A WOFA coordinator will guide you through the final steps: participant list, travel details, and performance info.

 NEWS FROM THE FESTIVAL                                            Published on 29.08.2025

From  20-24  August 2025 in Bar was held  XIX International Festival “ADRIATIC RHYTMS – BAR”,with great success.

At the festival over 200 participants from Slovakia, Poland,Lithuania,Bulgaria and the USA 

On the welcome reception with the leaders of the groups on 20 August director of the festival Mr Zoran Strezovski wished them welcome in the beautiful city and explained the detailed program.

On 23 August  festival evening was held on the stage of the city of Bar where all ensembles had their performances. Organizers of the festivals were WOFA - World Festival Association

In 2023 the festival had over 300 participants and 6 ensembles from 6 EU countries..

NUMBER OF SEATS IS LIMITED on 280 participants and 8 ensembles!!
